Don’t we all! We live in the time of Amazon Prime; next day delivery of whatever we need.
When it comes to our health, mental and physical, there is no Amazon Prime. We need to put in the work consistently to see results.
Think about it, there is an entire industry offering quick fixes for whatever we want to change in our life. Waist trainers, sweat belts (if you don’t know what these are, consider it a good thing), magic teas and fat loss supplements, pills to miraculously change our bad mood, cleanses that promise to change the state of our health in a week, the list goes on..
The truth?
If you want to lose weight or improve your health, improve your nutrition and exercise daily. Create a calorie deficit, eat unprocessed nutrient dense foods, stay hydrated, sleep and manage your stress.
If you want to improve your relationships? Learn to communicate clearly, be empathetic, practice patience. Learn to love yourself so that you can love others.
Want to be happier? Then make a choice to be happy. Complaining about a situation is easy. You know what’s hard? Finding the good and staying positive when you just don’t want to.
You know what else? It doesn’t require perfection. Just show up. Do what you can, do your best and do it everyday. One small step in the right direction is always better than one giant step in the wrong direction.
So what do you want? What are you willing to WORK for?
Whatever it is, don’t take the easy route.. you’re better than that. Show up and put in the work.
