healthy chocolate bars

Where are my chocolate lovers?! I am one of them and I am always looking for tasty homemade recipes.

This one passed the test - minimal ingredients, easy to make and tastes good!

You will need:

Directions:

  • Cut your GG crackers in half

  • Melt your chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave or the stove top.

  • Cover your GG crackers with chocolate, using a spoon or dip them in the chocolate.

  • Layer them, stacking 2-3 crackers. Drizzle with remaining chocolate. Place them in the freezer for a few hours.

DONE!

You can get creative and sprinkle coconut flakes, chopped nuts, chocolate chips or sprinkles on top. Or spread peanut butter in the middle and cover with chocolate. Store them in the freezer.

It is a tasty, high fiber treat to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Reasons why fiber is an important part of a healthy diet:

It aids in digestion.

It helps to lower cholesterol.

It stabilizes your blood sugar.

It keeps you full/satisfied longer.

Reasons why dark chocolate is a healthy addition to your diet, in moderation:

It tastes good.

It is full of antioxidants.

It may lower blood pressure and risk of heart disease.

Dark chocolate with 70–85% cocao is a good source of magnesium, zinc, and iron.

Enjoy!
